  Bought 4 new tyres from Blackcircles mail order. Phoned up JK tyres to ask if they would provide fitting and balancing. £48 the set was quoted and accepted. After fitting all seemed fine. The next day I had to make a motorway trip and soon realised the balancing was out on the back wheels so phone up and arranged to return and get rectified which it was. Repeat trip on the motorway and with the rear made better(but not perfect) I could feel the fronts were out slightly. Returned again, the wheels were rebalanced and although better the vibration (although slight) was still there.The real problem started after I noticed that the fitter had damaged the lacquer around the wheel rim on the near side rear and brought it to their attention. An initial inspection was made and was assured thar it would be passed to “Graham” to review the cctv and get back to me. A few days pass with no contact so gave them a call and spoke to Graham and he was unaware of the situation but I arranged to go down and show the damage to him. Graham took a look at the damage and straight away attempted to explain away the damage as “it was always there” which I disagreed with as the damage was on top of the rim and couldn’t be reached by a curb or the likes and the tyres that were removed were the originals. We then had a to and fro about the condition of the lacquer which may have been brittle, which I conceded may have been a factor after he explained but I then asked why the damage wasn’t flagged by the fitter at the time as it was impossible not to see, “lack of communication was the answer”(which is an admission to the damage caused) but Graham obviously didn’t realise that. Graham seems a very polite member of staff until he is asked questions he either doesn’t want to or can’t answer, and that it when the very grumpy Graham comes out. Customers ARE allowed to question the quality of work carried out. Anyway Graham’s day didn’t get any better after I informed him that I had been to BMW stirling and had the balancing problems fixed in one visit. That is when it got personal. Graham was beginning to insinuate that I hadn’t been to BMW and was possibly being dishonest about the damage which I take great offence to. I understand he may have staff he feels obliged to protect or maybe protect his reputation, but there are ways of rectifying problems without acting like a surly teenager who doesn’t have the people skills when questions get difficult to answer. Graham’s final gift was £40 SLAMMED onto the counter with “ that will cover the wheel balancing we done but I’m not paying for the alloy wheel” delivered in a very obtuse manner with a look which definitely made my mind up I won’t be back to that establishment. He never even looked at the cctv.............or is there cctv?
